As most of you probably know, you and I won Time magazines “Person of the Year” award for 2006. Even though apparently Hugo Chavez was set to win, you and I with all of our individual social activism fighting for causes from human rights to hunger to free speech to ethnic tolerance, among numerous others managed to find a way to demonstrate exceptional perseverance, selflessness and leadership in striving to combat social injustice in our community, nation or the world.
Many supporters of the Bolivarian Revolution will be disappointed to hear that Hugo Chavez did not make it despite the fact that he won Time’s online poll by a wide margin and got 35% of the votes.
